PanTeXas Deterrence, LLC (PXD) is a joint venture led by a BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) subsidiary – it also includes Fluor; SOC, A Day & Zimmermann Company; and The Texas A&M University System.

BWXT is a leading nuclear manufacturer and innovator with more than 65 years of partnership with the U.S. government to strengthen national security. BWXT previously managed Pantex from 2001 to 2014, dramatically improving both production and safety, and is currently a contractor at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Fluor is headquartered in Texas and has been providing technical and project expertise to the U.S. government for more than 80 years. Fluor is delivering critical weapons modernization services at the DOE’s Savannah River Site and also serving NNSA at the Naval Nuclear Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

SOC, A Day and Zimmermann Company delivers award-winning security and emergency services operations solutions for several DOE sites, providing protection of personnel, equipment, facilities, and assets. DOE operations supported include the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, Pantex, Y-12, and others. For more than 75 years Day & Zimmermann’s companies have supported DOE.

The Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) is a leadership partner at Los Alamos National Laboratory, bringing integration between Nuclear Security Enterprise design agencies and production sites in its role at Pantex. TAMUS is developing the workforces of the future through its 11 universities and eight agencies in the state of Texas.
